Let Nature be the teacher....
At The Butterfly Garden, we believe there should be an unhurried, healthy unfolding of childhood. We believe nature plays an important role in the overall well-being of children. We operate on the belief that creativity, nature, and play are the inherent right of every child and offer abundant learning opportunities. Incidental learning and hands-on experiences in our outdoor natural settings are the focus of our programs.
It may appear the children at The Butterfly Garden are merely playing. In reality, however, they are learning a great deal through discovery and meaningful hands-on experiences. Using the children's natural curiosity as a guide, we capitalize on teachable moments as they are presented. Out of desks and out of the classroom —nature is an imaginative, fun, and engaging learning environment for our children!
Intense creativity and strength of imagination, as well as a sense of wonder and reverence for the natural world, will serve as a strong foundation for later academic learning.
